Job Description
The expectation for the Lead Server/Site Supervisor is to be the full-time head server at one of Refined Fool’s Taproom Locations. This is a working supervising role, meaning that the majority of hours will be serving on the floor (earning tips) and leading the rest of the staff in the best customer experience possible. This role is responsible for the staff, space, and most importantly customer service.

Employment Requirements:

  • Must be Smart Serve Certified
  • Must be of legal serving age (18)
  • Must have Serving and/or Supervising Experience

Business Responsibilities:

  • Creating the best hospitality experience for your guests to drive sales
  • Point of Sale updates, programming and troubleshooting iPads
  • Liquor, Beer, and Smallwares Inventory
  • Execute and lead new product rollouts and company directives
  • Reservation Management for your site
  • Weekly Managers Meetings - data analysis on sales, labour costs, inventory, etc.
  • Working closely with Events Coordinator

Staff & Operations Management:

  • Labour Control and Hour Management (send home authority)
  • Responsible to work prime business hours specifically evenings, weekends, events and during busiest hours of operation
  • Communicating information and company directives to all retail/bartending staff
  • Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company’s procedures, policies and healtha and safety standards
  • Meeting and greeting customers and creating a hospitable environment, and training the rest of staff on that hospitality
  • Delegating appropriate tasks and ensuring they are completed
  • Directly communicating with staff members about poor performance/behavior
  • Leading by example: Managing, training, motivating, and providing feedback to staff
  • First point of contact for all staff who work at site
  • First line of support for shift coverage
  • Availability off-shift to answer questions, resolve issues and offer assistance to staff
  • Responsible for the overall customer experience

Site Management:

  • Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
  • Weekly cleanliness checks of all areas (taproom, bathrooms, hallway, outside, etc.)
  • Outside Premises cleanliness and maintenance. Suggestions on improvements
  • Preparing cash drawers and providing petty cash as required
