Lead Service Technician/Mechanic (Boston, MA) The opportunity TCR is a global leader in Ground Support Equipment (GSE) solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Lead Service Technician to join our Boston team. This role is pivotal in ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance while mentoring and guiding junior technicians. Key Responsibilities: Lead preventive and corrective maintenance on GSE and/or commercial trucks to OEM and TCR standards. Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Perform refurbishing tasks (welding, painting, fabrication, bodywork, upholstery). Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring skills development and adherence to standards. Coordinate daily operations, providing technical guidance and ensuring productivity. Maintain accurate work orders, parts records, and documentation. Promote workplace safety, applying 5S principles and TCR’s safety protocols. Participate in on-call rotations for urgent operational needs. Qualifications: Minimum 4 years’ experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems repair. Strong leadership, mentoring, and training abilities. Advanced understanding of schematics, manuals, and maintenance plans. Experience with GSE or commercial trucks (asset). Problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities under pressure.
