Lead Service Technician / Technicien de service principal
The Opportunity
TCR is a global leader in Ground Support Equipment (GSE) solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Lead Service Technician to join our Montreal team. This role is pivotal in ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance while mentoring and guiding junior technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems repair.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and training abilities.
  • Advanced understanding of schematics, manuals, and maintenance plans.
  • Experience with GSE or commercial trucks (asset).
  • Problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities under pressure.
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365; fluent in English (French is an asset).
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs / 23 kg

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum de 4 ans d’expérience en réparation de systèmes mécaniques, hydrauliques et électriques.
  • Solides compétences en leadership, mentorat et formation.
  • Maîtrise avancée des schémas, manuels et plans de maintenance.
  • Expérience en maintenance de GSE ou camions commerciaux (atout).
  • Aptitudes en résolution de problèmes et en gestion du temps, avec capacité à gérer les priorités sous pression.
  • Maîtrise des applications MS Office 365; anglais courant (français un atout).
  • Capacité à travailler à l’extérieur par tous les temps et à soulever jusqu’à 50 lb / 23 kg

Responsibilities
  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance on GSE and/or commercial trucks to OEM and TCR standards.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Perform refurbishing tasks (welding, painting, fabrication, bodywork, upholstery).
  • Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring skills development and adherence to standards.
  • Coordinate daily operations, providing technical guidance and ensuring productivity.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, parts records, and documentation.
  • Promote workplace safety, applying 5S principles and TCR’s safety protocols.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for urgent operational needs.
