Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

An opportunity has become available for a Lead Signalling Engineer to join the team responsible for the maintenance of the Sydney Metro fleet. You will be based at Rouse Hill primarily but will also be required to visit other locations across the Metro network as required. Joining us in this critical role, you will be responsible for leading a small team to manage the maintenance of the signalling systems (CBTC), across the Metro network.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Acting as the technical representative to the customer and external stakeholders.
  • Managing the signalling maintenance scope and internal/external sub-systems interfaces.
  • Leading, coaching and managing a team of Signalling Technicians.
  • Collaborating with the project team to ensure the signalling solution is integrated in to the operation.
  • Controlling the technical consistency through a strong engineering process management, quality, cost and delivery approach.

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and operational teams.
  • Have a proactive approach with the ability to thrive within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • The demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
  • CBTC Signalling experience, ideally within maintenance.
  • Tertiary qualifications (Electrical, Electronics or similar)
