QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from a local or internationally recognized university. Post Graduate degree is an added advantage.
  • Essential to this role is proficiency in Project Management Tool such as Primavera P6/ MS Project. Risk Analysis Tool such as Deltek Acumen Fuse/ Primavera Risk Analysis tool, Earned Value Management Technique, Progress Measurement technique, Co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders for Progress update and reporting. Having experience in delay risk analysis, delay claims management and substantiation of delay events.
  • Essential to the success of this role is experienced to have exposure for Project planning and scheduling works for single shaft power plant or oil/gas industry as well as experience in Gas Turbine and Combined Cycle Power Plant processes, installation and commissioning sequence for HA class turbine.
  • Essential to have 10yrs years’ experience in Overall Project Planning and Scheduling domain with exposure of all aspects of Project phases i.e. Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning.
  • Extensive experience in a Project Controls (scheduling and cost control) function within an EPC environment, including execution of several projects with significant site exposure.
  • Knowledgeable on Earned value analysis.
  • Knowledge of power plant principles and work processes in an engineering, procurement and construction environment.
  • Knowledge of VoWD (Value of Work Done).
  • Knowledge of productivity rates.
  • Strong experience in Primavera P6 (with resources loaded schedules).
  • Strong experience CMS (Construction physical progress measurement based on commodities & manpower).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to lead large complex project team & present to senior management.
  • Resilient and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The GE Power Gas Power Service (GPS) organization seeks an experienced Lead Site Scheduler to provide work & support on Projects. As Lead Site Scheduler you will report to the GPS Regional Scheduling Leader and you will be responsible for leading scheduling efforts for a large complex project and driving project schedules while proactively highlighting schedule execution issues & mitigations to the project team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops the Mater Time Schedule as the integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project schedule for Turn-key self-implemented & Turn-key with Partner projects, based on contract scope requirements, in co-operation with all involved scope owner parties, to establish optimal work sequences.
  • Develop Project Scheduling KPIs (on time delivery, key milestones, key commodity physical progress etc).
  • Integration of Product Lines and partner’s sub-schedule into overall EPC schedule. Define schedule interface points, templates & process for effective schedule integration / update
  • Updates the MTS and prepares all Project scheduling Reporting monthly, highlighting critical areas to the Project Director and Project Team. Prepares Project & Schedule reviews to the senior management.
  • Proactively manages internal and external project activities by closely monitoring the critical paths and the project float.
  • Ensures timely and accurate schedule forecasting and identifies schedule risk and opportunities. Advises the project team and works closely with them to develop corrective action plans.
  • Provides the monthly forecast and achievement of all payment milestones. Provides the monthly forecast and achievement of revenue recognition milestones to the project controller.
  • Review & comment on Partner or Sub-Contractor Schedule and progress report incl. Commodity Curves.
  • Assists claim preparation with detailed schedules and analysis.
