Description BASIC PURPOSE: To run the slot floor to the highest standards of efficiency in accordance with the policies and procedures Louisiana Downs Casino and Racetrack. To maintain and keep in operation all electronic gaming devices on property. To perform jackpots and provide above average customer service. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the casino, and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of every person (customers, co-workers, etc.). Maintains strict confidentiality of employees, management records, and problem within the casino. Other duties as requested by the Slot Supervisor and Slot Manager in accordance with Slot Department requirements. GUEST RELATIONS: Have a complete knowledge of all property facilities available to guests. Be polite at all times and pay attention to the guest’s needs. Create a friendly atmosphere by facial expression, tone of voice and greeting. Answer promptly all calls for assistance from guest and assist them in any way possible relating to the playing of machines. Deal with floor disputes and complaints in a diplomatic and professional manner and refer any unsettled disputes to the Slot Manager and Director of Operations. Requirements GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Must ensure general security of the floor and report any undesirable activities to the Slot Manager. Must ensure security and safety of equipment and report any dangerous conditions to the Slot Manager and Director of Operations. Any machine malfunctions will be inspected and repaired by a slot technician at the request of a Slot Manager. This will ensure optimum slot machine operation by inspecting and repairing any malfunctions quickly. Must have a thorough knowledge of machine instructions and codes. Safeguard slot assets. Monitor slot activities for adherence to casino policies and procedures. Available at all times for all matters of customer assistance, including explanation of machine play, handling of disputes/complaints and congratulations and consolation. Obtains updated information on all current promotions and provides information and direction to slot employees. Is responsible for submitting a thoroughly logged daily shift report. Perform jackpots. Makes minor technical repairs on machines. Provides work direction to the slot technician and slot host. Makes recommendations to the Slot Manager and Director of Operations in matters of performance evaluations, scheduling, and training needs of the department. Monitors staff on as on-going basis. Recommends policy and procedure changes. Maintains cleanliness of assigned work areas. Supervises all department staff on shift. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position. Working knowledge of slot technician duties and minimal abilities to repair machines is required. Must read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 5 Year’s experience in casino slot department is an asset Must be 21 years of age Must be able to obtain a gaming license PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Able to walk and remain standing for 8-10 hours with breaks. Able to work at a fast pace in mentally and physically stressful situations. Able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

Responsibilities
