About the role

As a Senior Software Developer for Testing (SDET) within the Quality Platform team , you will design and develop the testing infrastructure, automation frameworks, and AI-powered tools that all MaintainX engineering teams rely on to deliver software quickly and confidently. Rather than being responsible for testing a single product area, you will build a platform, developer experience, and automation solutions that will make software quality the standard across the organization.

You will collaborate closely with product engineering teams, Quality Advocates and the SRE team to improve developer productivity, increase confidence during deployments and help shape the future of AI-assisted testing at MaintainX.

What you will do

  • Design, develop and evolve MaintainX's shared quality platform, as well as its test automation frameworks and developer tools.
  • Design and develop an AI-assisted test creation infrastructure to significantly reduce the time required to write tests, while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Define continuous integration (CI) standards and improve the reliability of compilation and deployment processes within engineering teams.
  • Design validation environments and tools for AI-powered features, including health checks, graceful degradation mechanisms , quota monitoring, and adversarial testing.
  • Identify and eliminate systemic causes of test-related technical debt and flaky tests before they affect engineering teams.
  • Develop reusable testing libraries, utilities, and frameworks adopted across the organization.
  • Collaborating with Quality Advocates , product engineering teams and the SRE team to continuously improve the testing strategy and platform reliability.
  • Evaluate new AI-powered testing tools and promote their adoption when they generate a measurable impact on the efficiency of engineering teams.
