ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer sciences or engineering.

  • 8+ years’ experience in a software engineering environment designing and developing software application features.

  • Azure DevOps: Experience using Azure Boards for agile work management.
  • GitHub/Git: Repos for source code control.
  • Java 8+: Proficiency in Java, deep understanding of Java 8+ features such as lambda expressions, streams, and functional programming, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Spring Boot: Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot, including building, configuring, and deploying applications using Spring Boot in production environments.
  • Junit 5+: Proficient in unit testing with JUnit 5 or higher.
  • Code Quality Tools: Skilled in using code quality and analysis tools such as SonarQube.
  • JMS / MQ: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Java Message Service (JMS) or other Message Queue (MQ) systems.
  • Oracle DB: Proficient with Oracle Database, including database schema design, optimization, and tuning for high performance. Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL for efficient data manipulation and query optimization.

We are looking for a Lead Software Developer who is passionate about Software Engineering.
As a Lead Software Developer in our Baggage Management portfolio, you will work with a cross functional scrum team on the market leading lost baggage solution for the Air Travel Industry. Using Agile development practices, you and the team will be responsible for making delayed and lost luggage a thing of the past!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Write and deliver complex code and modules for new features debugs existing code and modules once created.
  • As a Lead Developer you will coach less experienced Developers - FTEs Contractors Offshore Partner Resources - on such activities.
  • Participate in the development of coding practices guidelines and all technical processes and ensures they are followed by less experienced Developers.
  • Participate in gathering managing and analyzing requirements to design new application and system features.
  • Contribute to estimates produced by the team for all technical work, using standard agile estimation techniques.
