ADTRAV Travel Management, founded in 1977, has over four decades of experience in managing corporate, government, vacation, group, meetings, and incentive travel programs across the United States. ADTRAV is seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer Test (SDET) to be responsible for hands-on coding and leading a team of SDETs and Quality Analysts in the design, development, and maintenance of test strategy and automated test suites for software applications. The Lead SDET will work closely with software developers, product owners, test teams and other stakeholders to understand the application’s functionality and to develop test cases that accurately test the application. The Lead SDET will also be responsible for leading the test and automation strategy, executing test suites, analyzing test results, and reporting on test progress.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead a team of SDETs and QA in the design, development, and maintenance of test strategies using automated test suites by mentoring the members of the team and making suggestions on process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and technical specifications.
  • Develop new tests and tools for our software including front-end and back-end APIs and services.
  • Groom and prune tests at all levels to ensure optimal coverage and effective deduplication.
  • Create, execute, and manage comprehensive test plans and test cases for various software components.
  • Debug, analyze, and report software defects, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, promoting a culture of learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Provide engineering estimates.
  • Develop code that meets our internal standards for maintainability, and style, and best practices for highly performant web applications.
  • Maintain and advocate for our standards thorough code reviews.
  • Use Agile development tools to track and communicate project progress.
  • Stay up to date on the latest information technologies, emerging trends, and best practices related to software testing and quality assurance, and applications in the company.
  • Work non-standard business hours to attend meetings and provide support via text/phone/email in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Represent ADTRAV by embracing the company values and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and clients.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 7+ years of related experience in software development and/or testing.
  • Experience mentoring other developers and/or testers and providing support and guidance on day-to-day activities.
  • A strong understanding of C#, Java, or similar Object-Oriented language.
  • Experience with SQL, T-SQL.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, NUnit, XUnit or TestNG.
  • Experience with testing tools like Postman, JMeter, Jaws.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud services.
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to estimate the work required and deliver the project on schedule as estimated.
  • Experience with source control such as Git or TFS.
  • Experience with issue tracking systems such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with travel software like Concur, Sabre, Amadeus is a plus.
  • Ability to learn ADTRAV’s business and products quickly and adapt to a dynamic development environment.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly proactive and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines requiring minimal supervision.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

THE SALARY RANGE FOR THIS POSITION IS $125,000-130,000 A YEAR BUT CONSIDERATION MAY BE GIVEN OUTSIDE OF THIS RANGE. PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE AS A SDET AND LEAD, AND WITH THE REQUIRED APPLICATIONS.
