At GOSH Charity we are creating a people centric digital practice to support the charity to be industry leaders in use of digital, data and AI.
As Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our digital platforms. leading the development of our charity and hospital websites and influencing wider technology initiatives.
You’ll be part of a friendly, diverse, and collaborative team that values innovation, openness, and continuous learning., working together to solve problems and improve things for our charity supporters and ultimately the lives of seriously ill children.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects independently.
  • Previous experience as a lead or senior developer mentoring developers.
  • 4+ years of experience in Python/Django development.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS (Sass/Less), and modern front-end frameworks:
  • React
  • JavaScript
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Strong knowledge of Git and version control tools (e.g. GitLab).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Proficiency in Docker and development tools.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and release management best practices.
  • Solid understanding of Internet services, TCP/IP, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
