As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Advanced in one or more programming languages with strong Python for automation and SQL for data manipulation and analytics. Proficient across the full SDLC with expertise in automation and CI/CD; advanced understanding of agile practices, application resiliency, and security. Demonstrated proficiency with cloud and data platforms, including AWS and Databricks; experienced with Oracle, SQL Server, and AWS RDS. In-depth knowledge of financial services, including P&L, balance sheets, workforce planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation. Deep expertise in IBM Planning Analytics TM1: cubes, dimensions, rules, feeders, MDX, TurboIntegrator processes, PAW, PAFE, security, and server maintenance. Hands-on development of TM1/Planning Analytics artifacts and performance-tuned models; sets standards for modeling, rules, feeders, and process orchestration. Provides technical leadership by mentoring developers, managing deliverables, ensuring cross-team collaboration, and aligning stakeholders. Excellent communicator able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences; experienced in client training, requirements gathering, and project management. Builds secure, high-quality production solutions with automation and API integrations (e.g., Python/TM1py) and experience with AWS or Planning Analytics SaaS. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
