JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
We are seeking a Pega OpenSpan/Robotics Lead to design, develop, and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using Pega OpenSpan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading automation initiatives, optimizing business processes, and ensuring seamless integration of robotics with enterprise applications. This role requires deep expertise in Pega Robotics (OpenSpan), RPA strategies, and workflow automation, along with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT, with 4+ years in Pega Robotics/OpenSpan development and automation.
  • Pega Certified Robotics System Architect (CRSA) certification is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in Pega OpenSpan, RPA solution architecture, and automation orchestration.
  • Strong expertise in integrating Pega Robotics with desktop, web, and legacy applications.
  • Experience with UI automation, Citrix automation, OCR technologies, and AI-driven automation.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines for automation deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Pega Robotics (OpenSpan) automation solutions.
  • Define automation frameworks, reusable components, and best practices for robotic process automation (RPA).
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify automation opportunities and assess feasibility.
  • Ensure Pega Robotics solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
  • Architect end-to-end RPA solutions, integrating Pega OpenSpan with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, Web, Desktop Apps).
  • Optimize bot efficiency, scalability, and performance through best practices in bot orchestration.
  • Oversee error handling, logging mechanisms, and exception management for robotic workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, guardrails, and automation governance.
  • Lead automation projects from requirement gathering to production deployment, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and testers to drive Agile-based RPA implementations.
  • Monitor automation performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement process optimizations.
  • Provide support for Pega Robotics upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance.
  • Mentor and guide Pega Robotics developers in best practices, troubleshooting, and solution design.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the automation team.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on Pega OpenSpan, RPA methodologies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and IT stakeholders to understand automation needs and demonstrate ROI.
  • Engage with Pega support teams and vendors to resolve issues and optimize platform performance.
  • Ensure alignment between automation initiatives and organizational goals.
  • Define and enforce governance policies, security protocols, and compliance requirements for RPA solutions.
  • Establish KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics to measure the success of automation initiatives.
  • Conduct regular audits, quality reviews, and risk assessments for robotic automation processes.
    Qualifications
    Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance
    OR
    High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance
    Area of Experience: OpenSpan, Pega Robotics

If hired in North Carolina the base pay for this position is generally between $104,543 and $140,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
