In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. As the Lead Software Engineer of our “Core” ecommerce lane, you will lead an engineering team, focused on improving customer facing tools and experiences that help make complicated decisions easier for visitors. You’ll be managing a team, designing software, and ensuring timely delivery of products. Your role is focused on system architecture, prototyping, planning, mentoring, and team leadership. You will be regularly challenged to leverage your experience to help support critical business objectives. You’ll have to be flexible and quick, but you won’t be alone. We have a strong team of technical peers, support from technical leadership within the company, and a team of skilled and driven engineers.

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:

• Work with the team to plan, build, test, and deploy new features.
• Extend our platforms to add core functional capabilities.
• Build tools for other lanes, and make system upgrades impacting multiple internal engineering teams.
• Mentor and help grow the technical capacity of your team.
• Be asked to design and implement new tech stacks necessary to support ecommerce.
• Architect and plan complex technical initiatives / integrations.
• Help make our ecommerce software better for both customers and engineers.Identify improvements and follow through with an execution plan

• Ensure our teams hit critical milestones on time with quality software.
• Think critically about our entire software/infrastructure/processes and propose improvements to support a better engineering environment.

• Take ownership of features and be wholly responsible for all components of new functionality.
• Propose and lead the development of new platform features.
• Be involved in day-to-day team leadership and help sculpt the ecosystem around your team.
• Execute some of our technically challenging and critical projects.
