Primary Responsibilities: Serve as Technology Leader Apply design thinking to drive the right architecture decisions and build reusable modular solutions Work with the team to meet security MBOs, reduce tech debt and drive adoption of AI productivity tools while accelerating delivery Continuously improve applications across design, build, deploy, test, and runtime phases within cloud ecosystems Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining result Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a distributed environment or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors Propose low-level design for task and story level assignments as well as high level design for epic-level assignments Effective communication with leadership and team Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: 11+ years of experience in software development and design, architecture (Java, Spring, Spring boot, 3+ years of demonstrated experience with software design and architecture patterns 3+ years of hands-on experience in production cloud 2+ years of experience of design and implementation of cloud( Azure, AWS, GCP) applications ((preferable Microsoft Azure) 2+ years of experience of leading engineering teams Demonstrates a solid grasp of core engineering principles, architecture patterns, development methodologies, and quality standards, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline Hands-on experience with microservices architecture Experience as a full-stack developer or lead developer Experience designing and delivering software through CI/CD methods Experience with Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning models Experience in healthcare or experience working with sensitive data Experience with agile delivery: Scrum and/or Kanban At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
