About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer In this role, you will: Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Hands on experience on Java based web development with strong expertise on Spring Framework v3 or newer – Spring Core, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring JPA, Spring Security, Spring AOP, Spring Boot and Spring MVC) Strong hands on FED technologies such as Angular JS or ReactJS Hands on working experience in cloud technology platforms like Amazon Web Services or Pivotal Cloud Foundry Should have strong hands-on of Microservices and associated design patterns Should have strong hands-on knowledge of using Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in development of enterprise scale banking applications. Hands-on of Junit, Mockito and other testing frameworks Strong hands on experience in OOAD, Multi-threaded application development, design and implementation of web applications, data structures and design patterns. Strong working experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) practices Working experience of development ecosystem of applications like Jira, Confluence, ALM etc. Experience in working with globally distributed teams following Agile methodology and Scrum Experience in working with RDBMS and noSQL databases. Experience in working with modern CI/CD tools and related ecosystem of applications - uDeploy, Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven etc. Experience using source control tools like Git, SVN etc. Proficiency in using code analysis and debugging tools Exposure to Splunk dashboards and App dynamics Knowledge of Event Driven Architecture Experience in Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) & Domain Driven Development (DDD) Prior experience in development of enterprise scale banking applications will be a plus. Job Expectations: Design, develop, test, implement new/enhance existing features/functionalities in enterprise web applications using Java/J2EE Perform build & implementation, functional, integration and unit/performance testing, test automation Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met as part of projects delivery Performance tuning of the Web application Troubleshoot applications and work directly with various application and support team partners Adhere to Agile development methodologies and best practices Posting End Date: 7 Jun 2026 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
