Description JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Lead, Sort & Packing DEPARTMENT: OPS - Sorting/packing REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Sort & Packing JOB SUMMARY: This role supports day-to-day coordination, training, and workflow oversight. The Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient function of the automated sorter system and the quality of the materials packed for their destination. The Operations Lead must uphold PharmaLink's core principles and company values at all times. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and verify that all personnel on the TRS are performing job tasks accurately and achieving required productivity metrics. Serve as the first point of contact for new hire training activities on the Tompkins Robotic Sorter (TRS), ensuring team members achieve and maintain accuracy and efficiency. Help develop and maintain a high-performance work team environment with a positive attitude. Ensure a safe and clean work environment by enforcing all established safety policies and procedures in the sorting and packing areas. Serve as the System Expert for the Tompkins Robotic Sorter (TRS) system interface, maintaining the knowledge and ability to operate and troubleshoot system functions. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine misreads and fault conditions on the TRS to maintain continuous workflow. Oversee the efficiency and accuracy of packing performed at the back end of the sorter, ensuring materials are prepared for shipment according to protocol. Report on major equipment malfunctions or necessary system adjustments to the Supervisor, Maintenance, or IT department. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Strong knowledge of Prophet Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Ability to lead by example and motivate a team to consistently exceed performance and quality metrics. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be dependable, reliable, and detail oriented. Must pass background check and drug screening. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required Must manage the safe operation of material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) within the sorting/packing area. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and bend for up to 10 hours a day if needed, with breaks. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Assistance is available upon request for lifting packages that exceed 40 lbs. or that are in unstable condition. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
Responsibilities
