Description

Key ResponsibilitiesLead cost‑out initiatives, including alternate source identification and qualification
Manage supplier and part qualification processes in collaboration with engineering, quality, and operations teams
Analyze supplier markets, competitive dynamics, and differentiators to support informed sourcing decisions
Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced colleagues; provide guidance and share best practices
Drive alignment and consensus across cross‑functional stakeholders
Communicate performance expectations and address sensitive supplier or internal issues as needed
Apply judgment to propose solutions beyond established parameters for complex sourcing challenges
Use technical experience, analytical thinking, and data prioritization to support decision‑making
Leverage multiple internal and limited external data sources to arrive at sound sourcing decisions
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Sourcing, Materials or Global Supply Chain Experience
Strong financial/ quantitative, analytical skills, data driven
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint), Tableau.
Desired CharacteristicsExperience in supplier development
Experience with SAP ERP system
Commodity/ FX Risk Management Experience
Highly motivated/ results/ metrics driven with a desire to learn and grow in sourcing /supply chain
Demonstrated negotiation and contract management skills, as well as ability to leverage data to prioritize
Capable of challenging the status quo, driving process improvements, direct material productivity and cost out.
Strong oral and written communication skills
