Description
Champion SHE excellence and Occupational Health (OH) for the Dalry Site Provide practical advice on Safety and Occupational Health issues Manage, develop and implement Occupational Safety and Health systems to ensure compliance with Corporate and UK legislation Lead completion and review of Occupational Health and Safety risk assessments, such as manual handling, ergonomics, COSHH, etc Ensure site wide implementation of chemicals legislation REACH, CLP and GHS requirements Provide support as Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser on site Provides support for the management of asbestos and legionella on site Co-ordinate and conduct workplace Occupational hygiene monitoring requirements Manage site chemical inventory and lead Health Risk Assessment (HRA) of chemical inventory Provide technical advice and leadership to implement Safety and OH system improvements Conduct audits and inspections on Occupational Health and Safety standards Support on-site radiation tasks/radiography in the role of Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) Provide support to the Occupational Health Nurse Maintains a close working relationship with production and gains area specific SHE knowledge Supports at department safety meetings Preparation, delivery and co-ordination of Safety and Occupational Health training such as Manual Handling, RPE and work at height Provide support and expertise to manage exposure control systems LEVs and RPE Support SHE reporting and maintenance of relevant systems, accreditations and standards Prepare and revise SHE policies and procedures Maintain good relationships with external regulators Experience of managing SHE within manufacturing/multi-project environment is desirable however a development package will be provided to bridge any skills gap.
Responsibilities
The Lead Specialist, SHE Occupational Health will champion SHE excellence and manage Occupational Health issues at the Dalry Site. This includes implementing safety systems, conducting risk assessments, and providing technical advice to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
