Position Summary The Sterile Certified Pharmacy Technician Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership within the sterile compounding department while actively supporting hands-on sterile compounding operations. This role serves as a key partner to the Sterile Pharmacist Lead and pharmacy management, ensuring workflow efficiency, regulatory compliance, training excellence, and consistent adherence to USP / and cGMP standards. This position plays a critical role in mentoring technicians, supporting shift coverage, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and quality within a fast-paced sterile environment. Key Responsibilities * Lead and support daily sterile compounding operations * Perform and oversee sterile compounding in ISO 5/7/8 environments * Support training and mentorship of sterile pharmacy technicians * Maintain compliance with USP , USP , cGMP, and state regulations * Partner with pharmacist leadership to ensure workflow efficiency and quality * Assist with inventory oversight and supply readiness Required Qualifications * High school diploma or GED * Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration * Sterile Compounding experience required * Minimum 3–5 years of pharmacy technician experience, including experience in sterile environments * Demonstrated leadership experience or informal lead responsibilities within a pharmacy setting * Strong working knowledge of USP and standards * Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills * Ability to remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced, regulated environment Preferred Qualifications * National certification (CPhT) * Prior experience in a 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy * Experience serving as a technician lead, trainer, or senior technician * Familiarity with pharmacy systems and sterile workflow optimization Working Days & Hours * First Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Monday–Friday) * Second Shift: 1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (Monday–Friday) * Ability to stand for extended periods while working in cleanroom environments * Ability to perform repetitive motions related to sterile compounding * Ability to wear required PPE, including gowns, gloves, masks, and hair coverings * Ability to communicate effectively in person and with cross-functional teams Compensation & Benefits * $28-$32 per hour * Comprehensive medical and dental coverage * Paid time off * Professional development and growth opportunities * Opportunity to grow into expanded leadership within the sterile department Southend Pharmacy is unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.
