Lead Sterile Processing Technician The Lead Sterile Processing Technician performs routine maintenance and preparation of instruments, supplies and equipment requiring decontamination and sterilization in a medical facility, as well as all duties performed by the Sterile Processing Technician I & II. This is the third level of a three-level series. It is distinguished from the lower levels by increased responsibility for the sterilization, assembly, and testing of medical equipment, supplies and instruments. It is distinguished from the higher level by closer supervision and less complex procedures. Coordinates orders, receives stock and distributes materials, supplies and equipment in department. Candidates must reside within commutable distance of the following office location: Texas: Lubbock Flexibility to work a day, evening or night shift as scheduled Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Sterile processing class, training, or vocational education Coursework/Training: Vocational training in Sterile Processing, decontamination/sterilization procedures, supply distribution or related job experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical laboratory. Upon Hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association -OR- National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution -OR- National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association 4 or more years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician with emphasis on instrumentation processing and sterilization 2 or more years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care center with primary responsibility for instrumentation processing and sterilization Preferred Qualifications: 2 or more years of Covenant Sterile Processing experience Why Join Providence?
