SR/LEAD STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Concrete Experience Necessary
Able to operate RISA 3D and Foundation Software
Revit experience is a plus.
Develop contract specifications and preparations of contract bid documents.
10+ Years’ Experience with P.E., S.E. Bonus

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in structural engineering or civil engineering with an emphasis in structural design
5-10 years relevant experience
A Master’s degree in civil engineering can substitute for up to two years of experience
Knowledge of and experience in structural engineering design of reinforced concrete, steel, and timber
Knowledge of and experience in statics, dynamics, and materials to understand and determine structural loads
Basic knowledge of structural codes such as ACI 318, ACI 350, AISC Manual of Steel Construction, and ASCE 7
Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams
Capable of functioning with spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Performs structural computations and analysis of concrete, masonry and steel structures and conducts calculation checks
Prepares design drawings, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables while working with the structural engineering team and other disciplines within the project team
Makes technical assumptions, thinks independently to complete assigned work, and draws engineering conclusions
Performs assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and codes
Responsible for quality control of small projects or segments of larger projects with work reviewed by appropriately experienced engineers
Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements
