JOB SUMMARY As a Structural Engineer for server/storage product development, you will lead and execute structural integrity analysis focusing on L11 shock/vibration, seismic compliance, and advanced FEA modeling. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product reliability under extreme mechanical conditions and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: Experience with 19”, 21”, ORv3, or double-wide rack, including collaboration on customized rack solutions. Perform shock, vibration, and seismic structural analysis and deliver comprehensive reports with mitigation plans for identified risks. Delivering mechanical structure analysis reports, and the mitigation solution/plan to fix mechanical structure defects. Conduct FEA simulations using tools such as Ansys Mechanical, LS-DYNA, and provide early-phase design risk assessments. Capable of defining suitable process and working models to fulfill diverse business requirements. Develop and execute shock/vibration and seismic reliability testing using structural equipment (Shock Table, Vibration Table, Package Drop Machine, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.). Validation test support includes material preparation, system setup, schedule tracking. Build and maintain shock/vibration and seismic-related specifications, SOPs, and playbooks. Mechanical relative research and workshops. Collaborate with cross-functions to have successful delivery on business. Basic Requirements: Master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanics, Marine engineering, Civil engineering or equivalent experience beyond. 8+ years of experience in mechanical development, structure analysis, FEA. Familiar reliability validation testing and industry spec in the mechanical structure field. Strong knowledge of shock/vibration theory, seismic standards (e.g., GR-63-CORE), and spectrum analysis techniques. Comfortable presenting to technical audiences in English language. Strong relationship management skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work cross-functionally across many levels of a matrixed organization.
