Job Description This position manages a blended portfolio of multiple institutions that Covista Shared Operations supports as well as acting as a liaison for the team. Is responsible for compliant and efficient administration of student finance operations. This role acts as a first line contact for team questions, coaching and mentoring of colleagues, and assisting managers with additional projects. These functions are performed with minimal supervision and with a high level of subject matter expertise. Works closely with academic partners, other functional areas within Shared Operations, and other Covista departments to research and resolve any student finance issues. This role is responsible for identifying trends and providing a thorough, holistic customer experience to internal and external customers. It is expected that this colleague will identify and recommend continuous improvement ideas as well as assist in the implementation of team and department initiatives. Responsibilities Manages and resolves escalated issues in a timely manner. Provides exceptional customer care to internal and external stakeholders by accepting ownership of student finance issues and questions. Accurately and thoroughly documents all transactions in the appropriate institutional systems Provides training, guidance, and coaching to entry-level and tenured team members, as needed including sharing best practices with colleagues for all supported institutions. Conducts One-on-Ones with assigned colleagues and support them with career and professional development opportunities Maintains a thorough understanding of all Title IV/Non-Title IV programs, policies and procedures including institutional policies and international, federal, and site regulations. Complies with applicable international, federal, and state laws. Identifies opportunities and solutions that improve current methods and actively participates as a change leader in a constantly evolving organization. Delegate work to other team members, and act as a point of contact in the absence of Manager. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Assists leadership or others with completing team reporting and is responsible for analyzing team data and trends As needed actively participates in internal and external audits Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required. 3 years’ experience in financial aid Required. Experience with Student Financial Aid software application Required. Strong presentation skills and prior experience speaking in front of leadership Required. Demonstrate holistic understanding of Title IV life cycle, Institutional policies and procedures. High level of interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize effectively. PC skills in Microsoft Office, Internet applications and database software. Eligible to obtain and maintain systems access to the NSLDS system (must not be in default of Title IV Federal aid). Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of, and quickly resolve, complex issues. Additional Information In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $49,199.33 - $86,253.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
