Description
Leidos is an innovation company rapidly addressing the world’s most vexing challenges in national security and health. Our Global Supply Chain organization is seeking a Lead Subcontracts Management to support the programs, proposals, and business objectives of the Defense Sector. This role performs full life cycle (“cradle-to-grave”) subcontract management activities supporting primarily Defense programs which complies with contract requirements, company policies and procedures, and applicable laws and acquisition regulations. This role will support the Airborne programs.
The successful candidate will be the primary interface between subcontractors and the program for the contractual management of agreements of various types of dollar value, risk, creativity and complexity, and will interact with other functional areas (e.g., program management, contracts, project control, finance, growth, etc.) to complete the necessary activities for the portfolio they’re assigned. They will be expected to effectively manage their time, prioritize actions, meet deadlines with limited supervision, and be a detail-oriented peer who can work both independently and as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities
While not an exhaustive list, activities in the subcontracting process that are responsibilities of this role are: supporting proposal activities (e.g., negotiation of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and teaming agreements, preparation of moderate to complex solicitation packages from customer requirements, evaluation of subcontractor proposals, price analysis, negotiation of price and terms and conditions, etc.), subcontract award, and post-award management (e.g., subcontract modifications, risk identification & mitigation , issue resolution, internal reporting, closeout activities, etc.). The complexity of assignments will increase with demonstrated proficiency, judgement, and business acumen and, accordingly, will be expected to identify and resolve complex issues and problems on assigned subcontracts and make recommendations to management.
