JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Under general supervision, plans, organizes, implements, and oversees daily operations of corporate tradeshows. Recruits, trains, and supervises a staff of tradeshow associates and or local promotions staff. Develops and implements new procedures to enhance ongoing tradeshow activities to generate resources in support of development activities. Self-Generates qualified guests to attend timeshare previews. Assists in finding events, stocking and inventory of tradeshow supplies, and assisting corporate marketing trainer in finding locations.
The Trade Show Team lead is responsible for performing and/or assisting with all aspects of marketing our resorts at fairs, events, festivals, and trade shows. Under supervision, the event marketing associate interacts with potential consumers to promote Spinnaker Resorts to generate package sales, direct tours and/or leads by ensuring brand standards are met while generating tours for the purpose of timeshare solicitation. Tradeshow team lead will assist with local promotions on location or at events when they do not have a show.

  • Knowledge of tradeshows practices and conventions.

  • Ability to develop budgets and proposals for tradeshow programs.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Knowledge of marketing media and funding sources.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities
  • In field training, educating, motivating, and producing packages at tradeshow events
  • Manages dress code and rules and processes of all staff and locations that generate package sales and direct tours
  • Provides advanced training/classroom and onsite training to all underperforming staff and new hires
  • Keeps all locations looking professional, cleaned, and stocked with all approved marketing materials
  • Recruits new hires and re-hires.
  • Manages staff by hours per tour
  • Responsible for all setups and break downs of special events, shows, fairs and any other additional tour/lead generating locations.
  • Develops, revises, and implements strategies to meet and exceed Tour/Package sales.
  • Supervises personnel, which typically includes recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution
  • Develop and recommendation of new locations. All proposals must include a cost analysis to not exceed budgeted tour cost
  • Assist with inventory levels of tradeshow booth supplies, materials and restocking as needed.
  • Responsible for the setup and breakdown of all booth equipment and promotional material.
  • Attend and participate in a variety of meetings to maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Marketing team within the scope of Trade Shows
