JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

In this role you will be responsible for the evaluation, qualification, and maintenance of suppliers for our MICT sites in the Milwaukee area. This involves selection, development and monitoring of new and existing suppliers for both installed-base products and new product introductions, as well as auditing suppliers and their manufacturing processes. This position will lead project execution by utilizing technical expertise and experience in mechanical and electrical technologies to drive supply chain excellence. The role reports to the Sr. Director, Supplier Quality & Development Engineering, based in the US and offers the possibility to work in a hybrid office/remote work set-up.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline OR a Bachelor’s non-technical degree with relevant experience in manufacturing, engineering or quality, OR an Associate’s Degree with significant manufacturing, engineering, or quality experience.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, design, or quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving/root-cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change.
  • Fluent communicator in English (both written and verbal), with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development, including supplier qualifications, audits, action plans, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers toward industrial standards of excellence.
  • Assess and evaluate supplier capability and capacity to enable an effective supplier selection process during supplier transfers and new product introduction programs.
  • Lead technical projects and process improvement initiatives to improve Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) at assigned suppliers.
  • Lead Root Cause Investigations and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities at assigned suppliers within the established procedures of the Quality Management System.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders (Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing, & Suppliers) to influence product design specifications, manage engineering and supplier changes, and ensure that customer requirements are understood and achieved.
  • Travel to supplier sites, as required.
