OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, with expertise in various network protocols and security standards. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27000 series, and managing network security initiatives. Your leadership will guide the team in implementing innovative solutions to enhance our systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • We are seeking an experienced Lead Support Engineer with deep expertise in the Ping Identity platform Products, primarily PingFederate, PingWeb and PingAccess, with exposure to P1AIC and PingDirectory as a strong plus. This role will lead IAM support operations, provide expert troubleshooting, and ensure seamless integration and uptime of critical identity services for enterprise clients. You will collaborate with architecture, engineering, and security teams while also guiding junior engineers.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead support operations for PingFederate, PingWeb and PingAccess, including configuration, issue resolution, and upgrades in production and non-production environments.


      • Provide support and troubleshooting for P1AIC and PingDirectory integrations, deployments, and synchronization scenarios (preferred).


        • Own the investigation and resolution of complex federation, SSO, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML issues.


          • Manage deployment, patching, and configuration changes adhering to change management processes.


            • Serve as a senior escalation point for critical incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive permanent solutions.


              • Participate in a rotating on-call support schedule for high-availability production environments.


                • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to enhance operational efficiency.


                  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a knowledge-sharing culture within the team.


                    • Document technical procedures, playbooks, best practices, and known issue resolutions.


                      • Stay updated on Ping Identity product roadmaps, security advisories, and IAM best practices.

                      • Required Qualifications:

                        • 5+ years of hands-on experience with PingFederate and PingAccess in enterprise environments.


                          • Strong understanding of SSO protocols: SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, WS-Federation, and LDAP.


                            • Experience in troubleshooting and supporting Java-based applications, TLS/SSL, certificates, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.


                              • Solid scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automating support tasks.


                                • Experience with log analysis tools, monitoring systems, and SIEM integration.


                                  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.


                                    • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an on-call rotation.

                                      • Working knowledge of PingDirectory administration, synchronization, and integration.


                                        • Exposure to PingCentral or PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud.


                                          • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.


                                            • IAM-related certifications (e.g., Ping Identity Certified Professional, CISSP) are a plus.
