POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Lead Windows Administrator with strong expertise in Azure, Hyper-V or Azure Stack HCI, and automation using PowerShell or Ansible. This role will provide technical leadership in designing, implementing, and maintaining modern infrastructure solutions across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Windows Server administration, virtualization, and cloud technologies, with a focus on automation and operational excellence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Typically requires 7+ years of relevant professional experience in systems administration.

CRITICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong expertise in Windows Server administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services and Hyper-V or Azure Stack HCI.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell or Ansible.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and auditing tools.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and patch management systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls).

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with VMware and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • RESTful API integration experience is a plus.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • Participate in migration projects from legacy systems to modern platforms (e.g., Win2k8 to Win2016/2019/2022).
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
