As Lead Architect (Cloud) you will: Lead the design and cloud transformation of our Acceptance Solutions platform. Shape and implement cloud architecture across AWS or equivalent ecosystems to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure solutions. Define and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code standards and patterns. Oversee container‑based deployments and orchestrated cloud environments. Partner with product development teams to streamline and optimize cloud‑native delivery. Establish best‑practice patterns, reference architectures, and operational processes that enhance engineering effectiveness. Champion DevOps principles and promote a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement. Drive automation across the software development lifecycle to improve speed, quality, and consistency. Embed security controls and governance into all architectural decisions and platform components. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 12+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 8 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 8 years of work experience with a PhD Proven knowledge of successful design, architecture and development leveraging cloud technology A minimum of 3 years' experience with AWS deployments or a similar cloud offering Continuous delivery and Dev(Sec)Ops experience - infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, auditing and security implementation and practices Expertise in infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform Expertise in design patterns, anti-patterns and best practices Familiarity with Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Sound knowledge of architecture methodologies and modelling Hands-on experience in Java and/or Kotlin software development, web applications and microservices, REST APIs, technology standards and frameworks Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills Strong business acumen to translate requirements into effective architecture roadmap Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle principles Experience with the application development lifecycle, CI/CD and proficiency in writing maintainable code using TDD/BDD paradigms.
