SUMMARY:

The Lead System Designer is responsible for overseeing all design deliverables for security, AV, and low-voltage projects. This role ensures all drawings, submittals, and technical packages meet Granite’s standards and project requirements while managing the design team’s workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of security/low-voltage design experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (Revit/BIM a plus).
• Familiarity with Axis, Genetec, Lenel, Exacq, BICSI standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

  Pay: $85,000 - $120,000 per year. DOE

• Lead the design and engineering of Division 27/28 systems: access control, CCTV, intrusion, AV, and structured cabling.
• Review and approve all CAD drawings, riser diagrams, and submittal packages.
• Develop and maintain design standards, templates, and blocks specific to Granite’s workflow.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations for constructability and field coordination.
• Manage workloads across the CAD Technicians and Design Coordinator to hit deadlines.
• Provide technical expertise during client meetings and design reviews.
