Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support Air Dominance and Fighters programs located in Berkeley, MO.

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance team is seeking a passionate and experienced Systems Engineer to support our cutting-edge Air Dominance programs. This is your chance to work across iconic division platforms like the F-15 Eagle, F/A-18 Super Hornet, EA-18 Growler, MQ-25 Stingray, and T-7A Redhawk, contributing to the future of national defense.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor degree or 7+ years of work-related experience with a Masters degree or 4+ years of work-related experience with a PhD.
- Prior Systems Engineering experience to include but not limited to system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation
- Leadership experience to include but not limited to engineering leadership roles and/or leading work and driving teams to success
- Technical understanding with one or more of these tools (Cameo, MSOSA, Rhapsody or DOORS)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Exceptional Communicator: Ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentorship Skills: Experience in training and mentoring early career engineers, fostering the next generation of talent.
- Military Aircraft Lifecycle Knowledge: Familiarity with the military aircraft development lifecycle and Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
