Overview
A System Architect/System Engineer plays an essential role in developing complex systems by integrating various components and ensuring the system’s overall functionality and efficiency. This position is responsible for the architecture, interfaces, and cross-functional alignment during the agile development of fire alarm systems. The role ensures that products meet customer requirements and adhere to safety and regulatory standards, while also guiding engineers, technicians, and associates to comply with all relevant standards and regulations. The responsibility includes ensuring that all parts of a system work together seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing the architecture of fire alarm systems.
  • Requirements engineering in collaboration with offering management
  • Prepare and conduct Critical Design Reviews
  • Assist in product and process certification and obtain agency approvals for customer acceptance.
  • Guide engineers, technicians, and associates to ensure project and product compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and requirements.
  • Present project updates and results to leadership and external customers.
  • Consult with vendors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project and product requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and propose technical enhancements by applying advanced electrical engineering knowledge and principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 years experience in working in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of certification processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to consult with vendors and suppliers effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative solutions.
  • Scrum / SAFe certification.
  • Willingness to work with different cultures and time-zones.
