Duties:

  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
  • Provide a safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
  • Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure the well-being and progress of each child
  • Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and development
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators
  • Stay up-to-date with current educational practices and trends

Skills:

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
  • Familiarity with daycare or childcare settings
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics and create a positive learning environment
  • Excellent behavior management skills
  • Understanding of special education needs in early childhood
  • Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing personality

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children (preferred)
  • Ability to pass a background check
