OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and special education, with a focus on creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a commitment to fostering the development of each child. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for implementing curriculum and lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs, including those of students with disabilities.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, private schools, or special education environments.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Experience working with students who have autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, early intervention practices, and behavioral therapy approaches is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support staff.
  • Previous experience in curriculum development and lesson planning is essential.

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and accommodate various learning styles.

  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.

  • Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote overall health and wellness among students.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom atmosphere that supports childhood development.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education, including Montessori methods and behavioral health strategies.
