About the Role: As our Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in the Summer Enrichment Program & are responsible for planning and delivering engaging academic and enrichment activities for students during the summer program. This role includes supervising classroom instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, collaborating with staff, and supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. You will collaborate with dedicated colleagues and community members who share your commitment to advancing equity and inclusion. What You will Do: Here’s how you will contribute in this role: Teaching & Classroom support (40%) Plan and implement age-appropriate enrichment lessons and activities Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs Student Engagement & Communication (25%) Monitor student progress and provide feedback to families and administration Maintain attendance, lesson plans, and required program documentation Integrate hands-on learning, STEM, literacy, arts, or project-based activities Ensure compliance with program policies and safety procedure Classroom Organization & Safety (25%) Supervise students during classroom, recreational, and transition periods Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline strategies Collaborate with program coordinators, teachers, and support staff Professional Development & Team Collaboration (10%) Engage in organization-wide training, attend weekly team meetings, participate in all-staff meetings and institution-wide retreats, and develop both professional and personal commitments related to the YWCA-Princeton mission.
