Job Description Summary Responsible for Outage execution, Overhauling of Generator and Auxiliaries at site with Safety-Quality-Delivery-Cost KPIS. Outage Planning before outage starts , Daily Overhauling activities planning, ensuring all site activities as per plan by achieving Safety-Quality-Delivery KPIs. Close-Out and Experience feedback_ Lesson Learnt for Generator of OEM fleets as well as Other OEM fleets based on planned & forecasted outages. The Lead Technical Field Advisor, is a key role in the SPPS Team where you will have significant opportunity to demonstrate your strategic, creative problem-solving, technical, communication and process skills in a complex, global and fast-paced environment. Candidate will be required to support successful execution of the SPS-Geno project assigned to him as well as other team members. He/she will have to work with cross-functional resources/teams to deliver results, lead long-term planning for the successful site execution of the project, manage complex issues including dimensional measurement of the parts & developing hand sketch to support Engineering Function. Job Description Shall be accountable for Generator Outage execution(Overhauling /Servicing ) , at Site for all outages of Generators and Auxiliaries in Fossil, Nuclear & Combined cycle Power plants as well ST Retrofit installation planning & execution. Shall be accountable for co-ordination with diversified teams of Field Engineers, craftlabours agency as well as other support agencies involving planning, Execution, EHS, Quality, Productivity, OTD . Shall be delivering scheduled outage cycles as per defined timelines & organizational standards with completion of the assignment within baselines agreed with the Business & customers Shall be responsible for the productivity with reasonable forecast and shall be responsible for aligning resources planning and resolving issues to ensure successful execution. Shall be responsible for operational commitments, Steam Power service standards, planning & implementing effective control measure to meet Zero EHS deviation w.r.t. accidents, injuries etc. Shall be responsible for aligning with Generator Product Service team for requirement of Parts and Spares related to outage execution requirement. Shall be responsible for launching Customer Satisfaction Survey in alignment with Contract Fulfilment team and making improvement actions plan. Shall be responsible for organizing on-site troubleshooting for Generator operational issues in consultation with ST Product Services team. Shall understand various Generator fleet technologies, maintenance / rectification/ installation practices as well as Generator product Technical Information Letter (TIL) from Product Centers and put the lesson learnt to practice via Customer Service Leader / Service Manager. Qualification/Experience Technical degree/Diploma from a government accredited university/Institute/Institution. Minimum of 10 years of experience in turbo generator mechanical assembly/disassembly, stator and field rewind and repairs. Should have strong technical background and hands-on experience in performing visual inspections, electrical tests, field and stator rewinds, and other general repairs on turbo-Generators of different OEMs. Should possess strong technical skills to read & interpret technical drawings, procedures, quality, and inspection documentation. Should be conversant with latest generator test methodologies and interpretation/analysis of test results and be able to recognize, predict and document potential failures. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Should possess skills to guide craft labour and winders during overhauls, rewinds, repairs and inspections. Clear thinker with an ability to focus on the “critical few” issue/priorities. Able to communicate messages clearly and concisely. Should be able to prepare outage scheduling, manpower & tooling requirement. Should possess good interpersonal skills to interface with customer, subcontractors and team members. Should be willing to mobilize to project site frequently and at short notice. Should be willing to stay at project site for long periods. Extensive domestic and/or international travel to projects for various field assignments is required.
