Responsibilities
  • Deliver complex programmes with multiple business and technical risks that will impact the success of key Tesco business priorities
  • Pro-actively identifying and managing dependencies Risks and Issues, budgets and influencing multiple Stakeholders
  • Create and track a plan to deliver the programme goals, including the technical implementation plan and identifying the critical path. Owning the release plan and stakeholder communication and weekly Governance
  • Understand trade-offs in delivery, using experience and influencing skills to drive consensus and decisions across our Business, Technology and engineering teams to release value early and deliver the best solutions
  • Able to understand the technical architecture and be able to foresee the impact on dependencies, delivery timelines and implementation plans
  • Effectively manage major incidents, ensuring stakeholders are updated with the right information to drive the correct decisions, keeping the customer at the forefront of everyone’s mind
  • Line management: Empowering teams and individuals to manage delivery through delegation
  • Leading the adoption and improving strong agile practices across Product, Programme, UXDR, Analytics and Engineering. Constantly looking to improve processes and collaboration having a positive impact on efficiency and effectiveness
  • Proactively identify problems, working closely with Product and engineering teams to quantify their impact and prioritise fixes
  • Build positive relationships with internals & external stakeholders to deliver software, co-ordinate rollouts or installations, or professional service
