Technical Recruiter – Product & Engineering Location: Mumbai Reports To: Head of Recruitment Role Summary Prime Focus and DNEG are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Technical Recruiter to support hiring across Product Management, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Core Services, Cloud Infrastructure, Data, and AI/ML functions. This role is ideal for a recruiter with 3–6 years of experience in technology hiring who is passionate about identifying and attracting high-calibre technical talent. The recruiter will work closely with hiring managers, engineering leaders, product leaders, and the Head of Recruitment to build world-class teams that support the company’s technology, innovation, and business objectives. While based within a media and entertainment technology organization, this role should be approached as a technology talent acquisition role. The successful candidate will recruit talent comparable to that found in product companies, SaaS organizations, gaming companies, AI companies, and digital engineering firms. The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment processes, building talent pipelines, delivering an exceptional candidate experience, and developing a strong understanding of technology and product functions. Key Responsibilities Recruitment Delivery * Manage end-to-end recruitment for Product, Engineering, Platform, Infrastructure, Data, and AI-related roles. * Source, screen, assess, and manage candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle. * Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring requirements, team structures, and business priorities. * Coordinate interviews and facilitate timely feedback and decision-making. * Manage offer processes and support candidate onboarding activities. * Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey. Talent Sourcing & Market Mapping Support hiring across roles such as: Product * Product Managers * Associate Product Managers * Product Owners * Product Designers (UX/UI) * Product Operations Engineering & Core Services * Software Engineers * Backend Engineers * Frontend Engineers * Full-Stack Engineers * Platform Engineers * DevOps Engineers * Site Reliability Engineers * Cloud Engineers * Infrastructure Engineers * QA and Automation Engineers Data & AI * Data Scientists * Data Engineers * Machine Learning Engineers * AI Engineers * MLOps Engineers * Generative AI Specialists * Computer Vision Engineers * Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and recurring technology roles. * Conduct market mapping exercises to identify target talent pools and competitor organizations. * Develop proactive sourcing strategies through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, talent communities, and industry events. * Build relationships with passive candidates for future opportunities. Stakeholder Management * Develop strong working relationships with hiring managers and functional leaders. * Provide regular updates on hiring progress, market conditions, and sourcing activity. * Advise hiring managers on talent availability, compensation trends, and recruitment strategies. * Escalate challenges and risks to the Head of Recruitment in a timely manner. Recruitment Operations * Maintain accurate recruitment data within the Applicant Tracking System. * Ensure compliance with recruitment processes, policies, and documentation requirements. * Support recruitment reporting and analytics. * Assist in maintaining recruitment standards and best practices. Employer Branding * Support initiatives that position Prime Focus and DNEG as employers of choice for technology and product talent. * Promote career opportunities through social media, professional networks, and industry communities. * Participate in employer branding activities, campus initiatives, networking events, and talent engagement programs. Required Qualifications Experience * 3–6 years of recruitment experience with a focus on technical hiring. * Proven experience recruiting for software engineering, product, cloud, infrastructure, data, or AI-related roles. * Experience working within technology companies, SaaS organizations, gaming companies, digital engineering firms, technology consulting organizations, or specialist technology recruitment agencies is preferred. * Demonstrated success in sourcing and hiring for difficult-to-fill technical positions. Knowledge & Skills * Strong understanding of technology and product organizations. * Familiarity with software development concepts, cloud technologies, data platforms, and AI/ML terminology. * Strong sourcing capability using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruitment tools. * Ability to assess candidate fit against technical and behavioural requirements. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Strong organizational and project management abilities. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
