We’re looking for a Lead Technician for Jebel Ali, rresponsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of a team of technicians in the refurbishment, repair & maintenance of Aggreko equipment. Ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently and effectively.

YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in leading multicultural teams in a workshop or factory-based environment
  • Technically Competent, preferably in Power Generation and HV equipment.
  • Capable of defining, setting and improving standards
  • Holds themselves and others to account
  • Excellent Communication Skills

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the completion of repairs and refurbs on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices and quality standards.
  • Support the manager in the allocation of resources to meet contractual requirements, including job planning and adherance to hours taken on each job.
  • Responsible for testing and analysing equipment upon arrival and before final completions; and final inspection of equipment after repair and prior to release to fleet.
  • Plan the workload to maximise utilisation of the section.
  • Ensure all plant tooling, lifting and measuring equipment is used within the field operation is maintained, calibrated and inspected according to the appropriate procedures.
  • Adhere to safety practices and quality standards.
  • Leading, guiding & supporting a team of technicians
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Conducting quality control checks
  • Managing the schedules and workloads of their team members
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure proper coordination of work activities and timely completion of tasks.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to technicians to improve their skills and performance.
