Description The Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of technicians in the efficient and effective repair and maintenance of vehicles. Responsibilities Technical Expertise: Diagnose and repair complex automotive problems, including engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension systems. Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Team Leadership: Assign tasks to technicians based on their skills and experience. Provide technical guidance and support to technicians. Monitor technician performance and ensure adherence to quality standards. Train and develop technicians to improve their skills. Customer Service: Communicate with customers about the status of their vehicle repairs. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high-quality service. Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, including repair orders and work estimates. Manage inventory of parts and supplies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity. Certifications: Technical certification or diploma in automotive repair. ASE or Audi brand certifications strongly preferred. Experience: 5+ years experience as an automotive technician Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to diagnose and repair complex automotive problems. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and safety standards. Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Ability to work in a noisy and sometimes dirty environment. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Good eyesight and hearing. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
