  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications in corporate/client training
  • Proven experience as an IT Trainer, Technical Trainer, or in a similar role
  • Skilled in designing technical course materials for both on-demand and live training formats
  • Conduct live training in-person, virtually, and individually
  • Familiar with web-based learning platforms and modern instructional techniques
  • Solid understanding of corporate computer security principles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
  • Develop programs and curriculum for new employees of the organization
  • Develop programs and curriculum for employees of the organization for in-job training on enterprise software applications and hardware

Responsibilities

The Lead Technology Trainer provides instruction to improve the skill base of client’s staff and faculty by serving as the lead training technology consultant. The position provides basic and advanced technology training to staff and faculty based on the enterprise application products sponsored by the Information Technology Services division. These base products are identified within the client’s IT Portfolio. The position will assist the Academic Technology Business Manager in coaching and providing customized support to faculty across the disciplines in the area of academic technologies that promote student engagement, learning, efficiency, and success. A key aspect of the position’s duties involves creating on-demand sessions using multiple platforms, including Canvas. Responsibilities also include delivering workshops and other staff technology professional development opportunities that promote streamlined processes and success through the integration and use of appropriate technologies.
