Build warm, responsive relationships with children and families. Supervise and support classroom team members while modeling positive teaching practices. Partner with families through daily communication, conferences, workshops, and family events. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. Observe and document children's growth and development. Collaborate with teaching team members to implement ELLI's curriculum and approach. Support classroom routines including meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play. Ensure compliance with NAEYC standards and Connecticut licensing regulations. Requirements Qualifications Required Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 12 credits in Child Development or Early Childhood Education Minimum one (1) year of professional childcare or classroom experience Preferred Qualifications Experience leading or mentoring classroom staff Knowledge of Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS) Experience working with toddlers in a group setting Strong communication and family engagement skills Bilingual Spanish/English Our Ideal Candidate You are curious, creative, patient, and enthusiastic about early childhood education.
