We are currently looking for a Lead Mechanic for our transportation maintenance shop.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• 3-5 yrs mechanic experience, preferable on trailers
• Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record
• Ability to lead and communicate to all levels
• Familiar with ERP and CMMS systems
• Welding and fabrication
• Knowledge of DOT requirements

• Ability to diagnose, repair and maintain trailers, including: air bags, brakes, lighting, decals, and structual issues
• Perform required, routine inspections to be compliant with OSHA and DOT regulations. Will need to coordinate with scheduling as needed. Position reports to the Transportation Manager and Director, not tied to the plant manager
• Will need to have the ability to transfer trucks and/or trailers around the yard and possibly to repair shop when required
• Will track inventory and maintenance performed in MaintainX (CMMS) as well as preventative maintenance
• May work with and/or direct maintenance subcontractors on site.
