We work closely with U.S. leadership to deliver accurate, timely, and decision-ready financial information while maintaining strong controls and audit readiness. Role Purpose The Senior Accounting Manager is a critical ownership role responsible for maintaining accurate, current, and audit-ready books for the India entity while supporting U.S. intercompany accounting. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, not a coordination or oversight-only position. The role requires someone who can run accounting end-to-end independently, meet close deadlines, and provide reliable financial data to U.S. finance leadership without hand-holding. Key Responsibilities1. End-to-End Accounting Ownership (Non-Negotiable) Own the General Ledger completely Prepare and post journal entries and month-end adjustments Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closes Handle accruals and prepaid accounting Own intercompany accounting between India and U.S. entities 2. Reconciliations (Full Ownership) Bank accounts Credit cards Clearing and suspense accounts Payroll and benefits Vendor balances Intercompany balances Books must always be clean, supported, and fully explainable. 3. Accounts Payable (AP) Vendor setup and master maintenance Invoice validation and accurate coding Payment coordination and tracking AP aging control and cleanup Ensure approvals follow the defined matrix Prevent duplicate or unauthorized payments 4. Accounts Receivable (AR) & Intercompany Billing Intercompany billing between India and U.S. entities Client invoicing (where applicable) AR tracking and aging Collections tracking and follow-ups Ensure revenue is recorded accurately and on time 5. Payroll Coordination Manage India payroll inputs, validation, and reconciliation Support U.S. payroll with accurate accounting inputs Reconcile payroll, benefits, taxes, and accruals Ensure payroll entries are complete and well-documented 6. Controls, Documentation & Audit Readiness Maintain strong audit trails and documentation standards Enforce approval matrices and segregation of duties Prepare schedules and support internal and external audits Respond to auditor queries with clarity and speed 7. Reporting & Communication Provide timely, accurate financial reports to U.S. leadership Clearly explain variances, balances, and adjustments Flag issues early with recommended solutions Maintain consistent communication across time zones Required Experience 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior role as Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager Proven experience running books end-to-end Strong intercompany accounting experience Experience supporting U.S. entities from India Hands-on experience with month-end close under tight deadlines Prior audit support experience Required Skills Strong GAAP accounting fundamentals Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar High attention to detail with the ability to work fast and accurately Strong written and spoken English communication Ability to work independently and take full ownership
