Description

Penske Logistics is looking for Lead Warehouse Worker to become part of an excellent team at our operation in Northlake, Texas. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment. The Lead Warehouse worker provides support and some supervision to regular and temporary warehouse associate functions. You will work closely with Operations Supervisors to ensure employee productivity expectations are met and various responsibilities meet the supervisors' expectations. Pay: Hourly Rate: $22.50 /hr Schedule: Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM-close. 7:00AM start time as needed Overtime as needed Major Responsibilities: Executes assignments, provides status updates, & project visibility to Operations Supervisor(s) Lead a team of warehouse associates to achieve operational goals while championing safety and productivity Operate forklifts, counterbalance, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed Stage and sort products; loads and unloads trailers Ensuring system count matches physical inventory Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system Quality control: ensure no damaged products are sent out and identify damaged products when received Complete daily logs and communicate with associates from other shifts or departments All associate training as well as backfilling for supervisors Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be loaded/unloaded Uses computer to enter data and maintains inventory records as needed Opens and closes dock doors Maintain a clean and safe work area Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor About Penske Logistics Penske Logistics engineers state-of-the-art transportation, warehousing and supply chain management solutions that deliver powerful business results for market-leading companies.
