REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with IWE certification (IIW); OR Master’s in Welding Engineering.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in welding engineering.
  • Expertise in international welding codes (ASME, AWS, ISO, API).
  • Proven hands-on experience in inspection, fabrication, and QA/QC processes.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure project timelines.
  • Immediate availability for mobilization is preferred.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Welding Engineer (IWE Certified) to oversee welding operations across oil & gas and industrial projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and quality oversight to ensure all welding activities meet international codes and project specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide advanced technical expertise in welding processes, engineering, and materials.
  • Review and approve WPS, PQR, and WQT in compliance with standards and client requirements.
  • Ensure welding execution aligns with ASME, AWS, ISO, API, and project specifications.
  • Validate welding consumables, base materials, and equipment for compliance.
  • Troubleshoot welding-related issues and recommend preventive/corrective measures.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams, engineers, and contractors for technical support.
  • Support audits, inspections, and maintain welding-related documentation.
  • Mentor and guide welders and junior engineers, fostering best practices.
  • Maintain welding records and prepare detailed technical reports.
  • Represent the company in meetings with management, clients, and project teams.
