Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Wellness, the Lead is responsible for leadership, development, administration and evaluation of PHC strategies to promotes employee physical and psychological health and support the provision of a safe and healthy workplace.

  • The position assumes key role in the development and enhancement of programs focused on health promotion and illness/disease prevention as well as workplace psychological safety.
  • Develops and implements strategies to support employee health and wellness self-management; guides the development, implementation and training related to CSA Psychologically Safe Workplace standards, including policy development, and involvement in the Respect at Work policy implementation; and establishes measures to monitor the effectiveness of programs and to assess, mitigate and control related risks to the organization.
  • Provides oversight and leadership of PHC’s communicable disease exposure program and immunization campaigns.
  • Provides coverage for the Disability Management Advisor team portfolios as required. –
  • Enhances partnerships with key stakeholders both internal and external at a variety of levels.
  • Provides ongoing consultation to multidisciplinary health care teams across PHC and represents stakeholders on committees and working groups as required.
