Description
You’re excited by opportunities to explore your potential and try something new.   If finding complex technological solutions is your game, we've got the team for you. You're going to help us create seamless operations that result in efficiency for millions of customers.      In this role, you'll: Lead the Workplace Experience & Technology domain, owning the strategy, target-state architecture and multi-year roadmap for the platforms that shape how Transport's people work.   This spans Windows 11, virtual desktop, Intune and device management, remote access and MDM, Teams AV and telephony, collaboration tools, and the broader workplace hardware estate.    You'll act as the domain's technical authority, setting and governing architecture standards, principles and blueprints, and providing assurance across all workplace technology initiatives, balancing user experience with cyber security and operational stability.   You'll govern managed service providers and key vendors to architectural intent, lead domain input into investment planning and business cases (tied to productivity uplift, risk reduction and employee experience), and maintain modernisation and decommissioning roadmaps that address lifecycle, technical debt and future ways of working. You'll provide technical oversight to programs and projects, resolving complex risks and keeping delivery aligned to the workplace target state and enterprise security requirements.   You'll drive thought leadership on modern workplace architecture, including zero trust security, cloud-managed and zero-touch endpoints, hybrid work, secure remote access and immersive collaboration. You'll partner closely with Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, End User Services and Network teams to deliver secure-by-design, resilient and user-centric outcomes.   For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.     About you You're a strong domain leader who operates at a strategic level, comfortable as the technical authority shaping standards, roadmaps and assurance, not just running platforms.   You bring deep experience across workplace technologies, particularly the Microsoft ecosystem (Intune, endpoint and device management, virtual desktop, Teams and collaboration), and you know how to balance usability with security controls.   You're experienced in governing vendors and managed service providers to architectural standards, shaping investment cases and lifecycle roadmaps, and lifting end-user experience across a complex enterprise. You're a trusted advisor who can influence senior stakeholders and deliver secure, high-performing, user-centric workplace environments.   Essential requirements:- Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology or a related field- Industry certifications in workplace technology platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365)- Employment screening checks as per government standards.     Who we are Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
