Job Description "Leader of Learning & Wellbeing" - School Coordinator Level 1 (Primary School) 1 x Permanent, full-time position 1 x Maximum term contract (2026 only) Join our team as a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing - School Coordinator (Level 1). This is a fantastic chance to grow your leadership experience while making a real difference in a supportive and collaborative environment. In the one-year coordinator role, you may be required to undertake some on-class teaching responsibilities. As a Leader of Learning & Wellbeing, you will lead and collaborate with a team of specialists including teachers, teacher's aides, school therapists, coordinators, administrators and other Aspect staff to deliver our evidence-informed, student-focused autism-specific approach. Use a person-centred and family-focused approach to ensure the delivery of quality educational standards. As a core member of the school's Learning Support Team (LST), you will lead and supervise the teaching team and partner parents, carers, and other members of the school community. In 2026 our satellite classes will be based at Barrack Heights, Albion Park, and Unanderra (within the University of Wollongong). You may be required to work at any of these sites as a teacher, and may oversee some or all of the satellite classes in your role as a coordinator, and therefore must be able to travel to these sites on any given day if student or staff support is needed. Our main campus classes are situated at Aspect South Coast School in Corrimal. Visit our website to learn more about our school: Aspect South Coast School Qualifications To provide for consistency of support, we are looking for coordinators who are currently working or are available to work full-time (38hrs per week) 5 days per week starting Term 1, 2026. Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications (as determined by NESA) Registration with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority) Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others Ability to work with Assisted School Transport (ASTP) providers and contractors as needed Proven ability to manage the daily staffing schedule and process as required Proven ability to work with staff and parents and engage in proactive but sometimes difficult conversations. Demonstrated leadership abilities including team support Experience working with students on the autism spectrum and other areas of need Experience in developing IP's and curriculum for students on the autism spectrum NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment Have a current driver's licence (per relevant state legislation) A Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence is desirable but not necessary You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance. Additional Information What we offer: Full-time base salary range of $90,100k - $127,281k (depending on qualifications, accreditation and relevant teaching experience) + special education allowance $3,699 p.a. + superannuation Coordinator 1 allowance is $9,958 p.a.
