ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Leader of Teaching and Learning in our Arthur Holt Library to inspire students and staff alike, and to help drive excellence across our curriculum. Based in the Middle and Secondary School, this role offers a unique opportunity to influence teaching and learning across the school, working at the intersection of pedagogy, research, and library innovation. You’ll collaborate with dedicated and talented educators, contribute to strategic initiatives, and help foster a vibrant culture of student-centred and growth-focussed approaches to learning, and curiosity.
Leading the team in the promotion of a positive reading culture, academic scholarship, and research capability, the Leader of Teaching and Learning (AHL) will incorporate evidence-based practices and promote innovative in both NESA and IB Curricula.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead with purpose: Co-teach alongside Library and subject specialist staff to model best practice and elevate classroom learning.
  • Drive innovation: Champion consistent, high-impact approaches to student research, inquiry learning, and academic scholarship.
  • Inspire a love of reading: Cultivate a reading culture that engages students, staff, and families across the Trinity community.
  • Stay ahead of the curve: Bring deep knowledge of emerging trends in library design, digital access, literature, and reading support strategies. You will be a pivotal partner in transitioning the Teaching and Learning aspects of the Library into the School’s new teaching and learning space (due to open late 2026).
  • Collaborate and create: Partnering with Heads of Faculty and teachers to design and resource engaging, future-focused educational programs.
  • Leverage technology: Work with Academic Office and in partnership with the Director of Library Services to optimise the use of digital platforms and systems that support teaching, learning, and resource management.
  • Teach : Fulfil the professional responsibilities of a Teacher, contributing to the dynamic life and learning of the school.
